What
you can expect ...from a private lesson
Private lessons cater to those who are specifically looking for specialized attention and are interested in digging in to the method without undo distractions. Classes can focus on learning the “order” of the basic, intermediate and advanced repertoires or building core awareness and strength or simply gaining a deeper connection of the body and mind. My studio offers various training techniques whether on the mat or apparatus. If the private is an in-home lesson, the same techniques are applied no matter what type of equipment is available.
...from a duet class
Duets are designed for 2 people of similar abilities. You don’t necessarily have to be a couple or even in the same studio, but if you’re interested in taking a duet from me, please only book if you have a workout partner. I structure the duet like the private lesson. I focus on details that you may not ordinarily hear when in a larger group class. You’ll learn about rhythm which is achieved by incorporating the transitions, learning your spring settings and also, how to breathe efficiently. If this type of duet class sounds good, please contact me - I’d love to work with you.
...from Trio and Quad classes
Trios and quads are designed for those who know the classical Basic and Intermediate mat and Reformer order. All 3 or 4 people do not have to be in the same studio, though it does make it easier to find a steady rhythm. If you think this might be a class you can benefit from, please make sure when signing up that you have two or three other people ready to commit as well. These classes are both challenging and fun!

An alternative to online classes is an in-person lesson in a tranquil and peaceful environment. A simple country road takes you to my Pilates studio in just minutes from the freeway exit. As you step out from your vehicle and breathe in the quiet, a garden of colorful succulents welcomes you to Studio Darien. The outdoor terrace is both protected and hidden by shade cloth so you’re able to fully relax and immerse yourself in your lesson. Still, you may hear the soothing sounds of bird conversations or even the occasional solo of a peacock, horse or goat.
