My group classes are both challenging and fun. I teach the traditional mat repertoire and include many exercise combinations usually practiced on the apparatus.
Whether you appreciate corrections during class or are more comfortable being in the back, don’t worry; you are safe in all of my classes.The fun part comes into play as students learn to partner stretch and by having another student assist you, you can focus on your breathing. Partner stretches also develop a tighter community of like-minded people, and though the class rigor is evident, laughter and joking are part of it as well. Most group classes are held at Contessi Ballet school, and I take full advantage of the ballet barre for ballet stretches and feet/ankle exercises.
